Franz Schubert
-
The Société Franz Schubert is the French
equivalent of SIUK. They also have a web site. The webmaster is
Christophe Le Gall, who is also a member of SIUK. It is in French
(of course) and still very much a work in progress, with
relatively little content, which we can expect to grow over time.
It looks much nicer than our site since Christophe appears to be
more technically competent, and certainly has more spare time than
me! Well worth a visit!

Lieder Texts
-
Emily Ezust has a varied site with a number of interesting links
elsewhere. Her pages are a source of texts of Schubert (and many
other composers') Lieder, entered by Emily and a number of
enthusiastic (but undoubtedly eccentric) helpers, including
myself. Schubert wrote such a large number of
Lieder in his short life (650-700 or so, depending upon how
you decide to treat part songs, variants, fragments etc.), that it
is very difficult to wrap your brain around them all. These pages
include the text for over 600 of these Lieder.

Works in our pages, though
without any recommended recordings.
