The 1996 CD gives every impression that it is a modern recording (the © and (p) dates are both 1996), but the style gives it away when compared with the modern (and to my ears, far superior recording) from Walter (see below).

I did, transiently, own Song of Love, but the buffoon that sold it to me packed it so badly it had no chance of surviving the journey, and since I disposed of the pieces in enraged disappointment, I no longer have the label details. I do, however, have a shellack 78rpm record (Victor 45304) with Lambert Murphy and the Orpheus Quartet singing Serenade on one side, and Lucy Isabelle Marsh and Royal Dadmum singing Song of Love on the other.
