Schubert Silent Film Scores |
These four items hardly comprise what surely must
be a richer selection than I was able to find. Finding silent film
scores and cue sheets with Schubert's music requires wide-ranging
research in film archives. Often, accessibility to archives is
severely limited because of the fragility of the material. Silent
film scores themselves are not easily found or published on the
Internet although the institutional collections holding them are
available via online search. Even these few items show that Schubert
was relied upon to provide the mood music for silent films.
